Dog Walking Policies & Fees
Before scheduling our Dog Walking Services, we encourage you to read and review our detailed Policies & Fees. Understanding these guidelines will help ensure a smooth and worry-free experience for both you and your pet.
Our policies cover important information on service limitations, payment, scheduling, cancellations, and emergency procedures.
To ensure the best care for your pet and to avoid any misunderstandings, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with these details. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we’re here to answer any questions you may have.
Dog Walking Services are for walks only and do not include feeding your dog, caring for other pets, or any house-sitting services. If you plan to be away from home for an extended period, please consider our Pet Sitting Service (for all dogs and cats) or our Dog Boarding Service only in Calaveras County (for dogs under 40 lbs).
Pre-Payment Policy
Fees for this service need to be prepaid each week or month. For any changes, contact our office at (650)996-6652 or email: Lynda@bayareapetpals.com. All correspondence regarding updates, any changes or cancelations must go through the main Bay Area Pet Pals office, not your Dog Walker to be eligible for any possible credits or refunds when applicable.
Cancelation Policy
To receive credit, notify us of any changes to your scheduled Dog Walking Visits during the weekdays (Monday-Friday) at least 48 hours in advance. For weekend walks (Saturday or Sunday), or holiday walks, please provide a full 7 days’ notice for cancelations to be eligible for credit. Ensure all updates, modifications, or cancelations are communicated in writing through our website contact form or directly to: Lynda@bayareapetpals.com. We kindly request that you refrain from reaching out to your sitter directly. Lynda manages all the sitters’ schedules and online calendars. Failure to make changes or cancelations through our website or via email may result in missed visits and charges for services that could have otherwise been credited. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
We do not perform regular Dog Walking Visits on the following Holidays:
- Christmas Eve Day through New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day Weekend (3 days)
- Presidents’ Day Weekend (3 days)
- Easter Weekend (2 days)
- Memorial Day Weekend (3 days)
- Juneteeth
- 4th of July
- Labor Day Weekend (3 days)
- Thanksgiving Weekend (4 days)
In special situations, we may be able to accommodate a Holiday Dog Walk Visit with advanced scheduling, and an additional fee. Please Contact Us to discuss.
Key Storage Lock Boxes for Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services
In most cases, Key Storage Lock Boxes are required for Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services. If you cannot use a Key Storage Lock Box for any reason, please Contact Us so that we can discuss alternatives.
