About Don
Don joined the Bay Area Pet Pals team in the winter of 2022, bringing with him a lifelong love for animals. Growing up in a family that cared deeply about pets, Don quickly took on the responsibility of feeding, walking, and playing with the family’s cherished Dachshunds. When one of their dogs fell seriously ill and refused to eat or drink, Don patiently nursed her back to health, an experience that deepened his connection with animals.
In early 2020, Don and his wife adopted a tuxedo street cat who has since become a beloved member of their household.
Don is known for his patience and attentiveness to the nonverbal cues pets use to express their needs and emotions. He understands the importance of consistency and predictability in building trust with animals, and he takes care to establish a warm, welcoming environment. Recognizing that each pet is unique, Don carefully tailors his approach to their individual preferences, particularly when it comes to touch and interaction.
He also knows the value of closely following pet owners’ instructions, understanding that they know their pets better than anyone else. For Don, gaining the trust of both the pet and the owner is key to providing excellent care.
In his free time, Don enjoys cycling, hiking, reading, and listening to classical music.
Don is dedicated to treating every client’s pet with love, respect, and the utmost care, ensuring they feel safe and well-tended while their owners are away.
