Pet Pal

Ivette

Pets fill our lives with love and laughter, teaching us that even the smallest creatures can leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts.

About Ivette

Ivette joined Bay Area Pet Pals in the spring of 2021 and has spent most of her life in San Mateo, where she lives with her husband and their orange tabby cat, Steve Rogers (named after Captain America!). Together, they love their community and enjoy morning walks along the Seal Point Park trail, taking in the beauty of the Bay Area.

Ivette has always been passionate about animals. Over the years, she has cared for a wide variety of pets, including parrots, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, fish, and rabbits, all of whom brought her joy and comfort. As a child, she even brought home a litter of kittens and pleaded with her parents to keep them—though they quickly brought them to the Peninsula Humane Society to find forever homes.

Ivette now cherishes her cat Steve, who has become a central part of her and her husband’s lives. She also fondly remembers her two guinea pigs, Sulley and Chewy, who passed away a few years ago. Their memories remain close to her heart. One of Ivette’s dreams is to one day own a pet pig, one of her favorite animals.

In addition to her love for animals, Ivette enjoys creating colorful content, sewing, and exploring unique coffee shops with her husband and family. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Product Development and has worked in retail for over nine years. Now, she’s excited to embark on a new journey caring for pets.

Ivette is patient, loving, and dedicated to treating every pet as if they were her own. She looks forward to giving your furry companions all the attention, care, and affection they deserve!
