About Kayla
Kayla joined the Bay Area Pet Pals team in the winter of 2025 after raising her three young children and is excited to return to the workforce. She is a Peninsula native and has lived in the area since 1996, with additional time spent living in Lake Tahoe and Portland, where her twins were born.
She grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds, including horses, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, Chihuahuas, cats, birds, snakes, bearded dragons, and even an iguana. This lifelong exposure has given her a deep understanding of animals of all sizes, temperaments, and needs.
Kayla currently shares her home with three rescued cats—Louie, Prada, and Black Jack—adopted through the ASPCA, and she hopes to adopt a small dog in the near future. She is confident handling animals of all sizes and has developed a wide range of pet-care skills through years of hands-on experience.
She has also worked with several pet-related organizations, including Smiling Dogs in San Carlos, the ASPCA, and Rover, further strengthening her background in animal care.
In her free time, Kayla enjoys staying active with her three children or relaxing at home with her cats. She loves the outdoors and isn’t afraid to get a little dirty—whether hiking, walking in the rain, or spending time at the beach.
Kayla is excited to meet you and your pets and looks forward to becoming your pet’s new buddy!
