Pet Pal

Natalia

Every animal has a story, and sometimes all it takes is patience and love to turn their story into a happy ending—just like Charlie, who found his furever home after five returns.

About Natalia

Natalia joined Bay Area Pet Pals at the start of 2019, bringing with her a lifelong passion for animals that began in her native Italy. From a young age, she was rescuing stray and injured animals, a love for all creatures that runs deep in her family. Natalia moved to California in 1996 with her husband and two sons, and she’s fluent in Italian, German, and English, with Spanish as her next language to master. Though her career has spanned hospitality work in hotels, restaurants, and cafés across Europe and the U.S., her true joy comes from spending time with animals.

Since 2011, Natalia has volunteered 4-5 days a week at the Peninsula Humane Society-SPCA. She started her journey caring for wildlife and helping in the kitten nursery but has spent the last five years working with dogs. During this time, she’s adopted three cats and one dog—her beloved dog, Charlie, who had been returned to the shelter five times before finding his forever home with her.

In her free time, Natalia enjoys walking, hiking, reading, laughing, horseback riding, and traveling. One of her favorite destinations is the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, where she combines her love of hiking with volunteering to care for dogs and horses.

Natalia looks forward to caring for your cherished pets while you’re at work or on vacation. She understands how important it is to know that your pets are safe, loved, and a little spoiled while you’re away!
