Sherri

Bay Area Pet Pals welcomed Sherri to the team in June 2015. She grew up in Benicia, California, and has called San Mateo home for over 25 years. With a deep love for the outdoors, Sherri enjoys exploring the hiking and biking trails along the bayfront.

Sherri has a genuine appreciation for animals of all shapes and sizes. Over the years, she has cared for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, chameleons, frogs, fish, birds, and even a rabbit and a horse. In the future, she hopes to add a couple of pygmy goats, some chickens, and a crafty rooster to her family.

Currently, Sherri shares her home with her three cats: Nick, Iris, and Bennie. Bennie, a once-feral cat, appeared at her doorstep eight years ago. Through patience and care, Sherri earned his trust and provided him with a loving, safe home. Helping Bennie transition from a wild cat to a beloved pet is one of her proudest achievements, and she often reflects on how different his life might have been without her intervention.

Friends and neighbors have long relied on Sherri to care for their pets while they are away, which inspired her to pursue pet care professionally. As a dedicated Pet Pal, Sherri is excited to shower your pets with love, attention, and fun during your absence.
