About Mitch
Mitch joined the Bay Area Pet Pals team in the summer of 2026. Growing up in East Palo Alto, his love for animals began with his very first dog, Cookie. She was his childhood best friend—and his personal alarm clock—gently tugging on his hair each morning to let him know it was time to get up.
Cookie taught Mitch the true meaning of responsibility, loyalty, and the unbreakable bond between people and their pets. Losing her in a sudden accident was devastating, but the experience forever shaped the way he views and cares for animals. It strengthened his protective instincts and inspired a lifelong commitment to helping pets stay safe. From then on, whenever Mitch encountered an animal in need, he felt compelled to step in, offer protection, and help guide them to safety.
Today, Mitch brings that same caring and protective nature to every animal he meets. He has a natural ability to connect with each pet’s unique personality, comfortably matching the playful energy of a puppy, offering the gentle patience needed by a senior pet, and adapting to every stage in between.
For Mitch, exceptional pet care is built on trust, consistency, safety, and giving pet parents complete peace of mind while they are away. When he is not caring for clients’ pets, he is happiest spending time outdoors, hiking and exploring the Bay Area’s beautiful parks and trails with his two rescue dogs, Ziggy and Icon.
